Below is the full syllabus for our Level 1 Taiji program
Stage 1
- What Is Taiji or Tai Chi?
- Student learns Ji Ben Gong
- Discussion on Yi, Qi, Shen
- Student learns Wu Ji Stance and Heaven, Man, Earth
- Discussion of Song (Release) and Ting (Feeling)
- Student learns the Taiji Stances
- Discussion and understanding of the 13 Taiji Principles and the Li (Physical) level of training
- Student begins to learn Short 8 Form
- Student learns the difference between Li form and Qi form. Rising, Sinking and Breathing
- Student learns the rest of the Short 9 Form
- Student learns Song, Shen, Wu, Fa (Release Body Five Ways)
- Student learns the primary methods of developing Song and Ting
- Student learns 7 Point Push Drill
- Student learns Single Push Hands Drill
- Student Must Test on all above skills to continue
Adults Stage 2
- Student begins to work on the developing true Tai Chi in Form1
- Continue practicing primary methods of developing Song and Ting
- Continue developing Stage 1 Push Hands Skills
- Student learns Double Push, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Split Push, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Single Shoulder Push, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Double Shoulder Push, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Pull Down, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Swing Arms, Push Hands Drill
- Student begins developing Underwater Tai Chi with the Short 9 Form
- Student Must Test on all above skills to continue
Adults Stage 3
- Student learns Round Hands, Push Hands Drill
- Student learns Split Shoulder Push, Push Hands Drill
- Student continues developing their Song and Ting while practicing the primary training method
- Student begins practicing Swimming Dragon in the Short 9 Form
- Student begins practicing Old Man Tai Chi in the Short 9 Form
Adults Stage 4
- Student Continues developing Song and Ting with the primary methods
- Student begins learning the Martial Applications of the Short 9 Form
- Student begins to pull everything together for level 1 Tai Chi
- Student reviews and tests on all level 1 Tai Chi skills to advance to level 2 Tai Chi.
